In Memory of
Elizabeth Pierre
-

Elizabeth Allen Pierre, was born last of three children, March 17th 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the parentage of the deceased Aldonia Johnson and Daniel C. Allen, Sr.

Whoso loves instruction loves knowledge: but he that hates reproof is brutish (Pro. 12:1)

As the years progressed and Elizabeth continued to develop through the nurturing of her parents, her formal and secondary educations were obtained in New Orleans public schools: Medard H. Nelson Elementary, Edward H. Phillips Jr. High, and John F. Kennedy Senior High (1969). Elizabeth was very active throughout her various schools' social and civic organizations. Organizations such as Brownie Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Y-Teen Club etc. contributed to shaping her socialization skills, love for people, caring persona, and humility, and humbling spirit. Elizabeth's ability to greet people with a smile became a permanent fixture on her face, in other words she always found a reason to smile even through adversities. Elizabeth's eagerness to advance academically, post high schools years, directed her to Southern University of New Orleans, LA where she received her Bachelor’s degree (1973).

That whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:15)

Elizabeth sealed this belief by accepting Christ and joining Second Bethlehem B.C. She remained a faithful member until moving to Texas; until her untimely illness. Her tenure at Second Bethlehem afforded her the opportunity to sing in the choir, and serve on other various committees for the furtherance of church growth and development. Elizabeth leaves to cherish her memories: a loving daughter Iris Stewart (Eric); siblings: Daniel Jr, (Patricia), and Marjorie A. Washington, 2 granddaughters: Katelyn and Hailey, stepson: Chris Pierre, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She also leaves to cherish her memories a host of cousins and life-long friends Jo-Ann and Deborah and Katie.

“I fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day . . . (II Tim. 4:7 & 8).

Iris Stewart and Family:

Blessed are they that mourn for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4

May the memory of your mom give you the same feelings of love you had when she was alive. Know that God is with you, and His grace will carry you through.

I am only a call or text away if you need me. You are continually in my thoughts and prayers sis.

Love you always and forever.

To the bereaved families of my departed sister, we loved Elizabeth immensely, but God loved her so much more. We can and will comfort you, but the ultimate comforter, our Heavenly Father, can give you comfort and peace at a level that only he can reach. Refer to Matthew 5:4 and 2 Cor 1:3-5. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will surely see Elizabeth again.
All are in my thoughts and Prayers.
Love,
Katie Davis (lovingly called "Bones" by Liz)
