Faye was a strong, spiritual, and beautiful lady of many talents. In her early years, she was very involved in politics, and was a member of the Stages Repertory Theatre, where she did many plays. She had a devotion to education, and was the only person in her family to acheive a Master's degree. In her 35-plus years of teaching, she taught classes from kindergarten to high school. She opened both Mayde Creek Jr. High and High schools; and wrote the original curriculum for the Opportunity Awareness Center in Katy. She taught all high scool classes there for 14-ish years.
She was beyond passionate of her only child, Vincent. In the 15 years that have passed since his death, not a week would go by that she didn't mention him. Her step-son, Josh, was very proud of the fact that she always treated, loved, and supported him like he was her own.
Before she became very ill, her hobbies were knitting and crocheting. She loved going to the movies, eating Mexican food at Felixes, and reading.
She was generous to a fault. Whenever she knit or crocheted anything, it was always for someone else. When her only child passed away, she would buy an entire room full of Christmas gifts for her great nieces and nephews.
She was loved and admired by all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
