George Morgan Norton

George Morgan Norton was born November 23, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas, to George Kessler Norton and Lucille Shirley Beatty Norton. He passed away on July 7, 2010 in Houston, Texas at the age of 59. He is survived by the love of his life Judy Barbe, sons Steven G. Norton and Daniel A. Norton, father George K. Norton and his wife Virgie Eames Norton, and sisters Nancy Sedloff and Ruth Rogers, Nephews and Nieces; Lisa Brown, Jimmie Rogers, Laura Budd, Bryan Rodgers, Julie Budd, great niece and nephew, Katelyn Brown & Nathan Brown. He is also survived by his former spouse Catherine Bernelle. He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille S. Norton.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 11, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service, 13501 Alief Clodine Road, Houston, Texas 77082. A service to celebrate his life will begin at 4:00 pm.

George Morgan Norton gave the precious gift of life to others by being an organ and tissue donor through LifeGift (www.LifeGift.org).

I remember George as the funny and fun brother of Ruth, my best friend in high school. He introduced me to the music of Simon and Garfunkel. I remember him as always being a kind fellow. I am sad to learn of his passing. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
