In Memory of
Glorvis Junious Bacon
-

Glorvis Junious Bacon passed away peacefully November 30, 2023, in Channelview, Texas. He was born December 25, 1949, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia to the late Robert Junious Bacon and Winifred Hardy Bacon. The only child born unto this union, he was loved deeply and unconditionally.

His parents relocated to New Jersey soon after his birth to establish a new chapter in their lives. Glorvis graduated from Weequahic High School and furthered his education at Bloomfield College in Newark, New Jersey where he earned an Associate degree in Business Administration. After completing his education, Glorvis demonstrated his commitment to service and duty by enlisting in the United States Army, where he devoted six years to serving his country. He attained the rank of Sergeant and was awarded the Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign medals.

Affectionately called Lil Junnie, he made a living working in sales, where his charisma distinguished him in the field. From Toyota to Nissan and Cadillac, he showcased his expertise by navigating the intricacies of various automotive brands. After years of dedicated work, he retired at the age of 62, leaving behind a legacy of success in the industry.

In 2001, Glorvis met Patricia Cruz and the two began a life together in Brick, New Jersey before relocating to Channelview, Texas in April of this year. The two were accompanied by Susie, a miniature dachshund who bossed Glorvis around daily.

Glorvis leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Patricia Cruz, two sons, David Earl Williams (Toni) of Reston, VA, Tirrell Junious Bacon of Street, MD, a daughter Natalie Dianne Lockett (Bradford) of Columbia, MD, a step-daughter Maritza Cruz, a sister Artrice Ford of Philadelphia, PA, an uncle James Bacon (Priscilla) of Chester, VA, an aunt Evelyn Hardy of Chase City, VA, niece Jeannette Harpe, six granddaughters, three grandsons, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services are scheduled for Monday, December 11, 20223 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service.  Visitation will start at 10:30 AM and the funeral will start at 11:30 AM.  Burial will follow at Houston National Cemetery at 1:45 PM.
