Hudson Bridgeman Mann (88) of Houston, Texas, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on January 19, 2011. Born May 18, 1922, in Homer, LA, Hudson proudly served in the Army and was a Veteran of both WWII and the Korean War. He retired in 1987 after 39 years with Texaco. As an active member of Tallowood Baptist Church, he faithfully served as a deacon, Bible teacher, and men's prayer group leader.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Claire Collier Mann, also of Homer, LA, and four children: Clarinda Richards and husband Fred of San Antonio, Debra Coffman and husband Bob of Sugar Land, Steven Mann and wife Claudia of Montgomery, Susan Smith and husband Byron of Lebanon, NJ. Hudson has been blessed with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister Ernestine Gillespie of Shreveport, LA, and twin brother Hobson Mann of Conroe, TX.
Following a private family burial in Homer, LA, a Memorial Service will be held at Tallowood Baptist Church in Houston, TX, Tuesday, January 25th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the "Hudson Mann Memorial Mission Fund" c/o Tallowood Baptist Church.
