In Memory of
Jane H. Wykoff
-

Jane Wykoff was born March 27, 1946 in Sylacauga, AL to her parents Clarence and Justene Hendrix. She went to be with Lord on March 11, 2022. She married her hometown love, Bill Wykoff, on June 29, 1968 at the First Baptist Church in Sylacauga by the Rev. Andrew Tampling.  She graduated in 1964 at the Sylacauga High School.  Jane had a desire all life to serve and help people.  She attended St. Vincent School of Nursing in Birmingham, AL and completed her dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse.  Throughout life, Jane became a prayer warrior in her profession, family, and friends.  She loved attending church and Christian concerts and seminars.  She became a Nurse Director of the Save-a-Life Ministries to counsel and guide teenager and women against pursuing abortions.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Justene Hendrix, formally of Sylacauga, AL and sister Gloria Dean Allison, formally of Bradenton, FL.  Jane is survived by her loving and devoted husband Bill Wykoff, son Greggory Grant Wykoff (wife Mindy, children Aaron, Allison, Anderson, and Anna Grace), son Christopher Alan Wykoff (children Caitlin, Ashlyn, Rebekah, Abigail) of Sylacauga, AL, and daughter Jessica Jane Owen (husband Randy, child Jonathon), and son Joshua Andrew Wykoff (wife Ashlee) of Houston, TX. She leaves behind nine grandchildren, brother Carey Lane Hendrix of Bradenton, FL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great grandchild on the way.  Jane and Bill have been married 53 years.

Being a woman of faith, Jane loved serving others.  Being an accomplished nurse was her mission after receiving her calling from God.

Jane loved cooking for the family and loved it when she could get her families legs under the dinner table.  She also enjoyed sewing and mending clothing for family and friends.  Jane loved traveling and seeing different sites.  She loved going to her uncle’s farm in Sylacauga to fish but more so she had favorite tree she would kneel against and pray.  Jane loved reading her Bible, especially the Book of Psalms and Christian and Gospel music.  Later in life she became that little old woman who continually prayed for her family.  Jane was love to her family and it was shown in her heart, eyes, and actions.

Funeral services and a “celebration of life” will be held on Friday, March 18 at 11:00 am with the viewing at 10:00 am at the Beresford Funeral Home, 13501 Alief-Clodine Road, Houston, TX  77082.  Jane will be laid to rest at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery “A Garden of God” located at 12317 Holderrieth Road, Tomball, TX  77375.  She will be buried in the statue of Jesus section where the morning sun will cast a shadow of Jesus on her resting place.

Plants or flowers can be sent to Beresford Funeral Home or donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association https://act.alz.org

It's okay to miss you,
It's okay to cry.
Just know I'll never forget you.
This isn't a permanent goodbye.

Love you my friend.

Jane was one the sweetest, kindest, and the most gentle person that I’ve ever known. I worked with her for years at Home Health Resources. She was always a joy to be with. She was passionate about her love for her family and God. She will be missed.❤️
Love you Jane
