In Memory of
Judy Ayers
-

Judy Ayers was born on the 20th of May 1944, in Dallas, Texas and went to be with God on Saturday the 18th of December 2010 in Houston, Texas. A proud Texan, she leaves behind her beloved husband and best friend of 46 years, Ross, her two loving daughters Tiffany & Amanda, her son-in-law Jesse and her two precious granddaughters Julia and Anna who brought her so much joy. Daughter of Lorraine Walling, her brother Perry Barker and his wife Dale, mother-in-law Helen Ayers, sister-in-law Nancy Turner and her husband Roger, brother-in-law Chuck Ayers and his wife Nita, Step-brother Larry Colyar, nieces Lara Lovell and Ashley Ayers, nephews Troy Barker and Travis Ayers and many cousins. We know she is free of pain and has become one of God's angels. One of Judy's greatest attributes was her glowing smile and the ability to talk to anyone, anywhere about anything, but she always joked that if you tied her hands behind her back she couldn't speak. She received her degree from Kilgore College where she was a member of the Rangerettes, and She was also a charter member of the Rangerettes Forever. It was during this time she met her husband; Ross on a blind date. Soon after they were married and moved from California, where Ross was in the Navy, to College Station to Houston, where they spent the next 41 years. During this time Judy was a Pre-School teacher at the Holy Comforter Lutheran Church, an active mother and highly involved in her daughters lives, a member & rider of the Salt Grass Trail Ride, a Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (HLS&R) lifetime member and volunteer on the Breeder Greeters committee for 25 years, Charter Member of Rancher's Ride and spent the last 19 years as a Flight Attendant for American Airlines. She and Ross took advantage of her flight privileges by traveling to many places around the world. Her love for life, people and travel helped her succeed in these different areas and touch so many lives.
