Larry Harrison, 73, passed away on June 30, 2012 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on January 12, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Albert Harrison and Harriet Goldring.
Larry spent his life being the best man he knew how to be. He served almost 20 yrs of his life as a firefighter in Berkley, Michigan taking care of others to his greatest ability and giving all of himself to help people. The lord blessed Larry with the skill of carpentry in which he made beautiful creations from simple pieces of wood. He had an amazing gift.
In the 1970’s Larry moved from Michigan to Texas and his words were, “I want to live and die in
Texas”, and to his words he was true.
God truly blessed the world with an angel and our angel blessed us with the greatest love imaginable.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Loveada Harrison; children, Michelle Ford, Kathy Tompkins, Darlene Craig and Deborah Hall; 14 grandchildren, Brittany Harrison, Briana Harrison, Loveada Way, William Tompkins, Dustin Tompkins, Leon Duty, Tommy Thompson, Misty Justice, Kathy Alasin, Robin Craig, Brandee Craig, Samantha Dickinson, Larry Smith, and Christina Smith; 24 great-grandchildren, Juliana Harrison, Emberlynn Harrison, Trinity Watson, Kaylin Lopez, Alexis Tompkins, Tabitha Duty, Erica Duty, Dylan Duty, Debra Marques, Isaiah Stanley, Jasmine Thompson, Mason Thompson, Dylan Paulensen, Riley Justice, Emma Justice, Abigail Justice, Annabelle Wilson, Thaylin Wilson, Gabriel Wilson, Ethan Alasin, Eviee Alasin, Brooke Woodison, Brandon Woodison, and Daniel Craig; and siblings, Jay Harrison, Clay Harrison, and Cheryl Garner.
Even with such a large family, Larry loved each and every one of them to the fullest. His heart was so large that no one ever went without knowing the extent of his love and compassion.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service, with the funeral beginning at 2:00 pm, Marcus D. Way officiating.
He will be forever missed but never forgotten. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later.
