In Memory of
Larry Harrison
-

Larry Harrison, 73, passed away on June 30, 2012 in Pasadena, Texas. He was born on January 12, 1939 in Detroit, Michigan to Albert Harrison and Harriet Goldring.

Larry spent his life being the best man he knew how to be. He served almost 20 yrs of his life as a firefighter in Berkley, Michigan taking care of others to his greatest ability and giving all of himself to help people. The lord blessed Larry with the skill of carpentry in which he made beautiful creations from simple pieces of wood. He had an amazing gift.
In the 1970’s Larry moved from Michigan to Texas and his words were, “I want to live and die in Texas”, and to his words he was true.

God truly blessed the world with an angel and our angel blessed us with the greatest love imaginable.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Loveada Harrison; children, Michelle Ford, Kathy Tompkins, Darlene Craig and Deborah Hall; 14 grandchildren, Brittany Harrison, Briana Harrison, Loveada Way, William Tompkins, Dustin Tompkins, Leon Duty, Tommy Thompson, Misty Justice, Kathy Alasin, Robin Craig, Brandee Craig, Samantha Dickinson, Larry Smith, and Christina Smith; 24 great-grandchildren, Juliana Harrison, Emberlynn Harrison, Trinity Watson, Kaylin Lopez, Alexis Tompkins, Tabitha Duty, Erica Duty, Dylan Duty, Debra Marques, Isaiah Stanley, Jasmine Thompson, Mason Thompson, Dylan Paulensen, Riley Justice, Emma Justice, Abigail Justice, Annabelle Wilson, Thaylin Wilson, Gabriel Wilson, Ethan Alasin, Eviee Alasin, Brooke Woodison, Brandon Woodison, and Daniel Craig; and siblings, Jay Harrison, Clay Harrison, and Cheryl Garner.

Even with such a large family, Larry loved each and every one of them to the fullest. His heart was so large that no one ever went without knowing the extent of his love and compassion.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service, with the funeral beginning at 2:00 pm, Marcus D. Way officiating.

He will be forever missed but never forgotten. This is not a goodbye, but a see you later.

As the years have gone by, distance has always been between us all. As I sit here thinking of you, I go way back to my childhood when things were so simple and less complicated. I remember that you had always enjoyed Christmas and how much you did to make sure that it was a very special time of the year. It's sad that as we all grow older we don't recognize that we are not immortale and we all will pass on in life, so enjoy the times you have with the ones you love. I am thankful that you don't hurt anymore, as I would rather have you painless than see you in pain. You will never be forgotten.
With all my heart,
Love Darlene

I sit here everyday thinking of you; how big your heart was and how much you loved each and every one of us. I think back on all my memories of you and only wish I could have one more day with you to let you know how special you was to me. I miss you so much! I'll never forget your smile, your laugh and the way you loved me. I would give anything just to hug you and tell you I love you. A piece of my heart is missing without you here. I know we'll meet again. Until then, I love you and I'll see you later Daddy.
Loving you always,
Your baby girl, Michelle
