Born November 25,1924, Velma Lorene Fox preferred to go by the name Loraine. She was born in Grayson County, Texas to parents John and Lutie Mae Fox. Loraine passed away July 26, 2017 at age 92.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie E. (Bill) Burrow in 2005. They were members of Bear Creek Church since moving to Houston from Sherman in 1997. Loraine is survived by her sister, Doris Pirtle of Decatur, brother Bill Fox (Doris) of Garland, her three sons, Ed (Jan) Olathe, Ks, Ric(Sherri), and Ron, Houston. Loraine's older brother, James Fox, died in 2015. Loraine dearly loved her grandchildren, Brad, Bethany, Josh and Tiffany, as well as her seven great-grandchildren.
Loraine will be buried beside her husband at Houston National Cemetery at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive.
A memorial service will be held at Bear Creek Church, 5901 N Fry Road, Katy, Texas 77449 on Monday, July 31, 2017 at 2 PM. The family will receive visitors from 1 PM to 2 PM at the church.
Flowers can be delivered to the church or donations to the Brookdale Hospice.
