Mauro Perez, known lovingly as “Tony” to many, passed away on October 27, 2025. Born in Cuba on July 21, 1960, and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tony lived a life full of dedication, laughter, and love.
An electrician by trade and the ultimate handyman, Mauro could fix anything and took great pride in his craft. He had a passion for technology and always enjoyed exploring the latest gadgets. More than anything, he loved his family deeply and unconditionally. He was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend—always present at every family event, ready to lend a helping hand or share a smile.
Mauro is survived by his father, Mauro Emiliano Perez; his children, Mauro, Myra, Ivanna Perez and Adela Mejia; and his grandchildren, Santiago, Abigail, Josias, Emily, Gabriella, Israel, Ariana, Julian, Leilany, Ethan, and baby Lily. He is also survived by his brother, Daniel Perez, and sisters, Danilda Santiago and Tanya O’Connell. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Eva Garrido Perez, and his daughter, Alyssa Perez.
A funeral service to honor Mauro’s life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Beresford Funeral Home, 13501 Alief Clodine Rd, Houston, Texas 77082.
For those unable to attend, flowers in memory of Tony may be sent to the funeral home.
Mauro will be remembered for his generosity, humor, and unwavering love for his family. His presence will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
