Obdulia Cortes, 93, passed away on November 20, 2021 in Sugar Land, Texas. She was born in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico on December 24, 1927 to Julian Cortes and Severiana Polanco.
She is survived by her two children, Nelson Badillo & wife Angela, and Noemi Kelley & husband Doug; grandchildren, Noelia Badillo, Joel Badillo, Gabriel Badillo, Cassandra Blanchard, Jeannette Sorgie, and Jeremy Andrews; great-grandchildren, D'Angelo Vielma, Mila Blanchard, Nevaeh Andrews, Nahiara Andrews, and Alanis Yurdakul; and her sisters, Reyna Cortes, Judith Cortes, and Para Cortes.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Juan Badillo; her second husband, Daniel Cruz; her brother, Luis Cortes; her sister, Maria Cortes; and her parents.
Services are planned for Saturday, November 27, 2021 in the chapel of Beresford Funeral Service. Visitation will begin at 12 noon and the funeral will begin at 2pm. She will be laid to rest in the Forest Park Westheimer Mausoleum at 3pm.
