
Robert (Bob) Schneider was born August 27, 1937, the 2nd son of Theo & Viola Schneider of San Antonio. Bob was raised in San Antonio, attending the public schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson H.S. in 1955. At Jefferson, Bob played the basshorn in the band. After graduation, Bob joined the Army and was stationed in Germany as a medical lab technician for 3 years. After the Army, Bob attended the University of Texas at Austin, getting a degree in Economics, graduating Phi Beta Kappa. Bob got a Master's degree in accounting from the University of Houston. Bob is survived by his wife, Koosje, an older brother, Ted Schneider and his family, a younger sister, Irene Beckelman and her family, the children of his younger deceased brother, Larry Schneider, and Arlene Bayless, a cousin, and her family, plus many other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Monday, March 13, 2017 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service, with viewing from 10am to 12 pm and the funeral at 12 pm.

post-graduate study at M.I.T. in Political Science and one year post-graduate study at Freie University Berlin in Germany in Political Science. While in school and after, Bob traveled all over the U.S. selling magazines. Bob met Jacoba (Koosje) Hoogenkamp in 1960, and they married in 1967 in Holland. Bob and Koosje moved to Houston where Bob worked in various businesses before finishing his career as an accountant at Prairie View A&M. Bob was active in Republican politics in Houston, running for several local city and county positions. Last summer, Bob attended the National Republican Convention in Cleveland as an alternate delegate from Houston. Bob was also very active in several other groups, the Sunday Night Theology Study, the Gulf-Coast Nudist Group, the Holland Club, and the Polio Survivors, among others.
