Ted was born Theodore Matthew Purnhagen on March 08, 1979 in Amityville, New York. He was the 4th of 5 siblings. He is survived by his mother Linda, sister Stacy, and brother Art. He is proceeded in death by his father Art and sisters Gracie and Tiffany.
Ted was involved a bad car accident at the young age of 20. This horrific event changed his life forever along with all of those who loved him. For 19 years, Ted fought a long battle of health issues. He was an inspiration to us all to never give up.
Prior to the accident, Ted had a promising skateboarding career with numerous sponsors. He was well on his way to becoming a professional skateboarder. He also owned Sacrifice Board Shop in Spring.
Despite everything Ted had been through, he kept his sense of humor. Stacy shared a memory that when she would visit him in the hospital, he would wait until she was leaving, she would be halfway down the hall and he would yell, “Stacy”. She would rush back to the room and ask if he was ok? He would just laugh.
Thank you for you all the good times and memories you left us. God bless you Ted. May you rest in peace.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Beresford Funeral Service from 10am to 12pm with the funeral service beginning at 12pm. A graveside service will follow at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery in Tomball, Texas.
