In Memory of
Veronica Adebanji Ogungbade
-

Veronica Adebanji Ogungbade nee Kolade, born on the 3rd of February 1972 and passed unto glory on the same day in 2024 leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. She embodied the essence of love and compassion, radiating warmth as a devoted Daughter, Mother, Sister, and Friend.

Her journey began in Osogbo, Osun State, where she was born to Lawyer Adetunji Samuel Kolade and Justina Abosede Kolade. Educated at St. Claires Offa for her Secondary school and later at Osun State College of Education, Ilesha, she earned a National Certificate of Education in English. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to the University of Uyo, where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science.

Following her educational endeavors, Adebanji founded Midas Montessori Nursery and Primary School, where she served as both a proprietor and a dedicated teacher.

In 2016, she relocated to the United States of America, and embraced a new chapter.

In the United States, Adebanji served as a correctional officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Yet, her true calling lay in her unwavering faith and commitment to serving others, evident in her active participation at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Firm Foundation, Houston, Texas, where she selflessly ministered to children.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Adebanji found solace and joy in cooking, reading, singing, and imparting knowledge through teaching.

Her love knew no bounds, extending endlessly to her cherished family and friends, rooted deeply in her profound devotion to the Lord. She exemplified a life of faith, mirroring Christ's love through her actions and deeds.

As she bids farewell to this earthly realm, Adebanji leaves behind a legacy of love and service, cherished by her beloved mother, children, sisters and brothers, as well as a multitude of relatives and friends who were touched by her gentle spirit.

Though she may have departed from this world, her memory will forever remain etched in our hearts, a testament to a life lived in love and faith.

Services will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Beresford Funeral Service from 9am to 10am followed by Burial at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery at 11am.
