In Memory of
Virginia Mary Wallace
-

VIRGINIA MARY WALLACE, 77, went Home on July 30, 2011, after her battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP). Now with Jesus and reunited with her husband, Kyle V. Wallace, she is dancing on streets of gold. A native of South Dakota, she was married in Fort Worth, TX on May 5, 1956. She met Kyle when she served at Carswell Airforce Base and he served in the US Army. Although Kyle's job with Texaco took them to Longview, TX, Little Rock, AR, and Memphis, TN, she moved to Houston in 1978 and settled in to life as a Texan. She loved to travel and 'go-go-go'. With Spring Branch as her 'home base' she enjoyed garage sales and visiting her many friends. Always active in her church, she leaves behind friends at Spring Woods Baptist and Clay Road Baptist. Virginia is survived by her mother, Louisa DeLeon of Rapid City, SD; son, Earl and daughter, Tracy, both of Houston; daughter Anita Dorio and son-in-law Gary Dorio of League City, TX. Virginia is also survived by brothers, Pat DeLeon of Rapid City, SD; Ted DeLeon of Fairbanks, AK; Louis DeLeon and sister-in-law Patty DeLeon of Amherst, VA. Virginia will be missed by many and reunited soon. Her family wishes to thank everyone who kept in touch in recent years through cards, calls and visits. May God bless everyone who showed her a kindness. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, 2011, 10am-Noon, with a celebration of Virginia's life immediately following at Noon at Beresford Funeral Service, 13501 Alief Clodine Road, Houston, TX 77082.

My Aunt Jeannie and Uncle Kyle will always be in my heart. The Wallace family was very loving and helpful to me and my family. Our kids loved going over for homemade ice cream and we loved our time shared with them. I got my first job as a teacher in Houston, Texas, and they welcomed me with open arms. I love you Aunt Jeannie!

Virginia & Kyle were a great joy in our life! We spent many Friday nights together playing cards or dominoes & laughing - even sharing funny events of the week. We would top that off with coffee, pie or cake. This happend at their house or ours or mutualfriends. Virginia & Kyle were there for you to share a problem or happiness. Thank you Lord forplacing them in our lives.
