William "Bill" E. Brown, III

William E. Brown III, affectionately known as "Bill," was born on June 2, 1963, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, to the late William E. Brown II and Mattie M. Howard Brown.

At the age of one, his family relocated to Montclair, New Jersey, where he was raised. Bill attended the Montclair Public School System.

In the late 1980s, he began his professional career as a technician at Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals in Kenilworth, New Jersey, where he worked until the mid-1990s. He later pursued his passion for photography, becoming a photographer with Americana Portraits.

Known for his warm smile, generous heart, and welcoming spirit, Bill had a remarkable ability to make others feel at ease. He never met a stranger and genuinely enjoyed connecting with neighbors, family, and friends. His kindness, easygoing personality, and willingness to help others left a lastingimpression on everyone he met.

In the early 2000s, Bill relocated to Houston, Texas, where he became an entrepreneur, operating a landscaping and handyman business specializing in home maintenance and installations. Through hard work and dedication, he built lasting relationships with those he served. 

Most importantly, Bill renewed his faith and rededicated his life to Christ. His faith became a source of strength, peace, and hope throughout the remainder of his life.

After a long and courageous battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), Bill peacefully entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

Bill leaves to cherish his memory his beloved sisters, Tonya M. Brown Price of Texas and Wanda M. Soto of New Jersey; his beloved brothers, Steven Gaddy of New Jersey and Robert Davis of Atlanta, Georgia; his beloved aunts, Sheryl Fields of New York and Pamela Fox (Aaron) of Savannah, Georgia; his beloved uncle, Andre' Howard of Augusta, Georgia; his beloved and devoted nephew, Landrum Price II of Texas, whose loving care and unwavering support were a tremendous blessing; his beloved nieces, Rolanda and Rianna Soto of New Jersey; a beloved adored cousin, Frank Stanford of Philadelphia; his beloved special friend, Senora Lee Crowe of Texas; his beloved and devoted prayer warrior cousin, LaKeitha McGriff; and a host of other loving aunts, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Though Bill's earthly journey has ended, the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the memories he created will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him and his legacy of kindness, resilience, faith, and love will continue to inspire generations to come.
