Alberto Romo
-

Alberto Romo passed away on August 21, 2019 in Spring, Texas.  He was born in Mexico on September 13, 1957 to Abel Romo and Maria Galarza Romo.

Alberto was born and raised in Encarnación de Diaz, Jalisco.  He was a hardworking man who never gave up.  He was devoted to his family, a caring father and an extremely loving grandfather.  He made a friend everywhere he went.  He is survived by his children; Alberto, Lucia, and Cesar, and by his wife Velia.  He is preceded in death by his mother Maria Dolores, and father Abel.  Although we wish he was still here, We are thankful for the time we shared with him, and will miss him greatly.  His legacy and memory will forever live in our hearts and mind.

Services will start Friday evening, August 30, 2019 starting at 5 p.m. with an overnight wake at the Hope Community Evangelical Covenant Church (11811 Misty Valley Dr., Houston, TX 77066) and the funeral will begin at noon on Saturday, August 31, 2019.  Burial will follow at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery.

Alberto/welo was a great grandfather he was more like a third father to me although I don’t remember most of the memories cause I was too young and I wish I could have made more for a grandpa he was too young to die I wish he could be here to be 100 or atleast 80 he was just young but other than that he was a great man and grandfather.

He was a great grandpa that always looked out for us he really cared for his grandchildren all my memories of him are filled with happy moments and I will always remember what a happy bright person he was.

Cómo padre siempre se esforzó en darnos todo lo necesario, siempre trabajó y luchó por su familia. Cuando más lo necesitamos el estuvo allí. Aunque no decía “te quiero” seguido, sus acciones lo decían todo el tiempo. Lo extraño cómo papá, pero más como abuelo. Fue un abuelo ejemplar, el amor por sus nietos era indudable, un amor puro y sin medida. Todos lo amamos y seguiremos queriéndolo y recordándolo todos los días de nuestras vidas.

Alberto was a wonderful talented man. I look around my home and see his craftsmanship everywhere. But more importantly he was a friend
What great conversations we had, the smiles over grandchildren, the pride he felt for his children. He had a positive affect on our lives and along with his huge smile he is sorely missed. Prayers for his family.
