In Memory of
Atha Lee Driscoll
-

Atha Lee Driscoll met her Lord and Savior on April 21, 2014. She was born in Quinlan, Texas on June 16, 1922.

Her presence in Heaven is preceded by her loving husband of 68 years, Dr. Edward A. Driscoll, whom she met on a blind date at a Texas A&M football game. Oh, one minor detail. Her future husband was the date of the other girl in the double date. But it was love at first sight and the rest is history. She was also preceded in death by her parents, John H. and Carrie B. Green. She is survived by son Edward Driscoll and wife Suzanne, son Stephen Driscoll and wife Kathy, and sons Phillip and Paul Driscoll. She was blessed with 5 granddaughters; Shannon and husband David Bickham, Jennifer and husband Charles Nichols, Kerrie and husband Will Eubanks, Meredith and husband Justin Lowth, and Amanda Driscoll. She was also blessed with her great-grandchildren: Isabella, Madeline and David Bickham; Cash, Jackson, and Sawyer Nichols; Emma, Addison, and Avery Joy Eubanks, and Katelyn, Abigail, and Jaxson Lowth, all who will miss their Great-Great. Additionally, she is survived by sister, Maurice Hedman, nephews Ron Hedman, Bob and Tom Droleskey and niece Susan Hedman.

She was loved by all who met her and she never met a stranger. She assisted her husband in his Veterinary practice for many years and for decades she raised tea-cup Chihuahuas. Many were the times she would bottle feed entire litters at all hours of the day and night, for weeks on end. She and her pups brought joy to countless families for several generations.

Visitation will take place at First Baptist Church of Pasadena Chapel on Saturday, April 26, 2014, 9:30 – 11 AM followed by the Celebration of Life service at 11 AM, led by Jon Redmond. She will be buried beside her loving husband at a private service on April 30 at the Houston National Cemetery.

Driscoll Family,
So sorry for your loss. I know Mrs. Driscoll will be greatly missed by your family, but I know Dr. Driscoll was waiting for her to arrive. She was always dear to my heart...as Paul's girlfriend, his assistant and friend - I still remember the great laughs we shared and the special times! Keeping your family in my prayers!

To the Driscoll family,
During the 1960-1970s, your father was a trusting and loyal client of mine. On many occasions I would call on your dad in his office and would have the good fortune of visiting with your mother and other members of your family. I often think of your mom and dad and am grateful for their friendship. With sincerest sympathy on the loss of your mother. Al Schwake
