David Marshall Boyce, 80, passed away on November 20, 2021 in Houston, Texas. He was born on July 22, 1941 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Harold S. Boyce and Mary C. (Marshall) Boyce.
David graduated from Joe T Robinson high school before joining the US Navy in 1959 where he served honorably. He returned home and worked in air conditioning design for several years. He joined the Peace Corps in 1967 and was assigned to Perak, Malaysia for several years where he established an Industrial Arts Program. He returned home in 1970 and attended the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, obtaining a BA in economics and math in 1972. Following graduation, he was an HVAC sales manager and engineer for several companies in Ark, La, and Tx until 2009. He taught mathematics at Kempner High School in Houston for 8 years. He enjoyed nature, water sports, and seeking spiritual wisdom.
David is survived by his son, Richard Boyce & wife Candi; daughter, Sonya Boyce; brother, William H. Boyce & wife Catherine; sister, Mary Margaret Berthiaume; and six grandchildren.
Burial will take place on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 10:45 A.M. at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038).
