In Memory of
Joy Oghogho Asagbra
-

Joy Oghogho Asagbra was a strong woman, caring mother, loving wife, promising daughter, astute professional and an entrepreneur.

As an astute professional with several years experience in the Travel Industry, working in different business set up, she rose to become the head of the sales and marketing/client service department for all group offices of one of the leading Travel Agencies in Nigeria. As a seasoned Travel Consultant, Joy managed several corporate organizations and top multinationals in Nigeria before retiring due to her love for home and family to set up her own travel agency which she ran successfully until her demise.

As an Alumnus of the Travel College Canada and is a certified member of the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO). She holds a BSC from the University of Lagos.

Joy's love for personal development and her entrepreneurial drive further drove her to enrolling at the Houston Community College to study Fashion and Merchandising, which was her next phase of life and business. Her dream to set up her own fashion home was a dream she always had.

As a mother, Joy had three beautiful daughters - Ewoma, Oghale and Debbie- she was ever so proud of. Her personal detail to all of them is unrivaled. She would take her time to wash and make each ones hair and regardless of how tired she was. Her daughters were top priority!

Joy was a faithful and loving wife to Onome. One can not ask for any better woman than this beauty gone too soon.

Joy was a daughter of comfort and hope to her mother and her family. She was always there to take care of everyone and help out wherever there was a need. She is survived by her mother, bothers and sisters.

Poem - A tribute to the One I love
From the first day I saw you to the last day, beauty and grace never ceased to define you. Your simplicity and sophistication is amazing, its a natural wonder how you were always breath taking.  Your smiles and laughter were genuine like fresh air, only the soul knows the void you create - its really deep. I don't know why you came to my life and why depart so soon but I thank you for all the love - you were all I ever dreamed of and if ever I would again, I would love you over and over again. You gave me three amazing beauties  I can never be more proud as a father. They will forever remain your smiles to this world and the healing you truly gave. Thank you for being my Joy.

Joy - You had something rare about you that just lightened up the room. You truly were a "Joy" to be around. Always smiling, ever cheerful and positive!

I pray that the Lord will grant mummy and all of us the fortitude to bear your loss.

Joy, as we fondly called you, everyone says you were always joyful.. I have the same to say.. right from our childhood days in Surulere, you never held a grudge. Always peaceful and a patient one. I pray strength for your husband and children. I pray Mummy is comforted. I pray all your brothers and sisters find strength. You are fondly remembered! Sleep well, Oghogho! Till we meet at Jesus's feet! Adieu!

Dear Joy,
I miss you, my fellow "Nursing Mother" and baby dedication partner back then.
I miss seeing your ever smiling face in church, especially at the back where we used to sit together.
I know you are in a much better and saner place, away from the madness of this world. However, that doesn't stop your absence from hurting deeply.
May your soul rest in absolute and perfect peace in Jesus name ?.

You were indeed a kind, caring and loving personality. We discussed on few occasions about my joining the travel agency. Thank you for all the encouragement. I can vividly remember when you told me that you cook sweeter food when fasting and we laughed over it. You will be greatly missed. Continue to rest in the bosom of the Lord.
