
Juan Enrique Santamaria Rodriguez
November 22, 1928 – February 10, 2022
Juan Santamaria, was born on November 22, 1928 at his parents’ Hacienda Santa Engracia, General Teran Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was the only child of Juan De Dios Santamaria Ybanez and Maria Elena Rodriguez. His mother died in childbirth and his father died when he was still young. He grew up in the family Hacienda, a ranch of ~1000 acres. He played the violin starting at the age of 5 yrs. and
Juan and Eudora had four sons and two daughters. Eudora passed away in 2013, Juan is survived by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many caring relatives and friends in both the U.S.A and Mexico. He will be greatly missed. There will be a small private service for Juan on February 16, 2022. There are no plans for gathering after the ceremony. In lieu of flowers, please pray for his departed soul.

Juan Santamaria, was born on November 22, 1928 at his parents’ Hacienda Santa Engracia, General Teran Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He was the only child of Juan De Dios Santamaria Ybanez and Maria Elena Rodriguez. His mother died in childbirth and his father died when he was still young. He grew up in the family Hacienda, a ranch of ~1000 acres. He played the violin starting at the age of 5 yrs. and
showed an affinity for mathematics at a young age. He lived in Cadereyta, Mexico where he met his future wife Eudora Garcia. He had many jobs as a young man, carpenter and electrician until he joined the army in 1948 where he was a medic. After leaving the army, he was an accountant for Pemex. In 1955 while working for Pemex and due to his military experience, he was asked to participate in the elite Presidential guard to protect President Adolfo Ruiz Cortinez during a facility tour of Pemex. This was an honor and Juan was very proud to have participated in guarding the President. In 1957 he left Pemex’ employment and immigrated to the U.S. where he had several business adventures. He worked hard all his life.
