In Memory of
Juliette Shehab
-

Juliette Shehab was born on February 19, 1939 in Jerusalem. She went to her heavenly home on July 4, 2020 in Houston, Texas. Her passing was unexpected but peaceful.

She was the daughter of Daoud and Nemeh Alam, born and raised in Jerusalem and Beit Jala in the Holy Land. After completing her high school education, she was a teacher of History and Arabic for middle school. She was married in 1962 to her husband of 50 years Najib Shehab. They moved to Kuwait for work and to start a family. After 30 years in Kuwait, they moved to Greece, Jordan and then to the US.

Juliette was a very loving, caring, and generous person, highly devoted to her family, and very committed and passionate about her faith. She was a real Christian, carrying her cross with love and patience. She was an ardent lover of music and movies and a great and hospitable cook. She was an outgoing and social person with a strong personality, accompanied by great wit.

She is survived by her son Youssef, daughters Marina and Pauline, Pauline’s family (husband Ziad Tarazi and children Tanya and Tarek), and her sisters, nephews, and nieces.

Services are scheduled for Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church at 11935 Bellfort Village Dr., Houston, Texas 77031.  Visitation starts at 10 AM, followed by the Rosary at 10:15, and mass at 11 AM.  The burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery on 1101 Antoine Rd., Houston, TX 77055.

It would be our mother’s wish, that instead of sending flowers to the church for the mass, to kindly send a donation to the church. This is the link for the donation page at the church: https://ourladyofthecedars.net/donate
