He is preceded in death by loved ones, brother Kenny R. Brown, sister Judy Mae Brown, son Julian Christopher Brown, and grandmother Bular Rudd.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Fleada Brown, daughters, JsaKeita Davis Brown, "Ju" Toya E. Brown, "Ju" Kennita M. Brown, Alisa T. Sherman; son, Michael D. Rickey attended school in the Houston Independent School District and has an Associate Degree in Arts from the Coastal Bend College. He was united in Holy matrimony to Fleada M. Brown.

He was a man of joy and pride. It showed with every stride he took. He aspired to lead a quiet life, to work hard with his own hands as God commanded him to do. He worked as a cook. He won competitions as a weightlifter and enjoyed working in the craft shop. His favorite thing in life was his family.

"I'll never see your smiling face again or be held in your strong and loving arms again, but I'll always remember and miss everything we shared the last twenty years of this life together." - Fleada Brown

1 THESSALONIANS 4:13-14
And now, brothers and sisters, I want you to know what will happen to Christians who have died so you will not be full of sorrow like people who have no hope. For since we believe Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus comes, God will bring back with Jesus all Christians who have died.
