In Memory of
Lisa Anne Haynie
-

Lisa Anne (Rowe) Haynie, 65, passed away on September 25, 2025, in Houston, Texas, due to complications from metastasized breast cancer.

Born on April 17, 1960, Lisa graduated from Grand Blanc High School in 1978 and continued her education at Mott Community College. Lisa moved to Houston, Texas in the early 1980's and pursued further studies at San Jacinto College. She began her professional journey at Commonwealth Savings Bank and later served as a procurement officer with Halliburton KBR. She and her husband raised 2 sons and have lived in the Houston area for many years, making journeys back to Michigan for family reunions and events.

Deeply committed to helping others, Lisa was active in her breast cancer survivor group and volunteered as a driver for the Red Cross, transporting patients to their medical appointments. Her compassion extended to animals as well—she dedicated time to the CAP rescue center, helping rescue and care for kittens and cats in need. Lisa volunteered at the WHAM food pantry and was involved with both her sons' Elementary schools and their Reading Programs. She enjoyed watching her sons play baseball when younger, along with rooting for her two favorite professional baseball teams-the Chicago Cubs and the Houston Astros. Lisa loved to work in her garden and had a keen knowledge about numerous flowering plants. Recently, Lisa enrolled in a Spanish class and enjoyed learning the Spanish language with her classmates and friends.

Lisa is lovingly remembered by her husband, Scott Haynie, and their sons, Travis and Carson Haynie. She is also survived by her siblings: Michael Rowe (April), Cynthia Brandt (Brian), and Karen Ryan (Mark), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Dottie Rowe.

A memorial service to honor Lisa’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Beresford Funeral Home, 13501 Alief Clodine Rd., Houston, TX 77082. A future memorial dinner to celebrate her life will be held in Michigan with her family.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lisa’s memory to Citizens for Animal Protection (CAP), 17555 Katy Fwy, Building C, Houston, TX 77094.

Lisa’s warmth and generosity touched many lives. She had a wicked sense of humor and a quick wit. Lisa adored her family and friends with fierce loyalty. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
