
L.J. “Jim” Scott, 71 years old, passed away Saturday morning at the VA Hospital in Houston, Texas. He fell victim to congestive heart failure after a long battle with cancer and the after-effects of chemotherapy. He was a successful entrepreneur, loving husband and supportive father. Before starting his family in Houston, he attended Harlandale High School followed by San Antonio College. His studies were interrupted by The Draft. He served in the Special Forces of the US Army in the Vietnam War from 1970-1973 as a Green Beret Medic. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Gayle Scott, and his children Shadd and Chelsea Scott. He was an artist, world traveler, enterprising businessman and SCUBA diver. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service will take place Saturday, September 14th, 2019 at Christ Evangelical Presbyterian Church at 2pm.
