An avid learner, he received degrees in physics from Beijing University, Zhongshan University, and the University of Missouri-Columbia. He then established a career as a software developer before retiring in 2014 to run a successful rental home business with his wife.
Zimin enjoyed playing golf, watching sports, and traveling the world with family and friends, Known for his gentle nature and intellect, he used his knowledge to guide others and make life better for those around him.
Zimin is survived by his mother, wife, two children, and granddaughter.
The Memorial Service will be on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 2p to 4p in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Services.
