Albert Joseph Krejci, Jr., 73, went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2020. A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 21, 2020, at 10 a.m. at Redeemer Community Church located in Katy, Texas. Immediately following, the family will proceed to a private graveside burial.
Al was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 13, 1947, to Albert Joseph Krejci, Sr. (“Ollie”) and Catherine Doll Krejci. He graduated from St. Louis University High School and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysical Engineering from St. Louis University. After graduation, he began his career in the oil & gas industry as a Geophysicist and Exploration Manager for Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO) where he worked for 24 years. In 1993, Al started his geophysical consulting career for companies such as White Oak Energy, Noble Energy, Shell, Total E&P, BHP, Trans-Global Petroleum and many more. In 2017, Al entered into retirement where he spent his days enjoying the slower
pace of life and spending time with his grandchildren.
Al married Trudy Helen Johnson on May 19, 1984, in Denver, Colorado, and they created a blended family with their children, Jason Charles Krejci, Nicholas Scott Krejci, Jennifer Scheifley Roberts and William James Scheifley. In 1987, they added to their family with the birth of Michael Christopher Krejci. The two most important things in his life were his faith and his family. Al devoted his time to coaching his children in multiple sports or cheering them on from the sidelines. He consistently served the church through his role as an usher. Al loved “his” St. Louis Cardinals and watching golf on Sundays. He believed the way to someone’s heart was through their stomach and was known for his barbeque and sauce. Al always looked forward to the annual tradition of baking cookies with his grandchildren around Christmastime. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, and grandfather who possessed an unwavering faith and always put everyone’s needs before his own.
Al is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Catherine Krejci; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gordon and Doris Johnson; and his sisters, Marie Fick and Rosemary (“Rosie”) Krejci.
He is survived by his loving wife, Trudy Krejci; his son, Jason Krejci and granddaughter, Jaiden; his daughter, Jennifer Scheifley Roberts and husband Steve and their children, Jordan, Blakely, and Kipling James; his son, Nicholas Krejci and wife Dorinda and their children, Makenna and Caleb; his son, James Scheifley and wife Shanna and their children, Avery and Cade; his son, Michael Krejci and wife Ellen and their children, Nolan and Miles; his sisters, Gloria Schweiger and Jane Knese and husband Ralph; and numerous nieces and nephews.
