Atinuke Kaosarat Kotun was born on March 18, 1979 in Lagos, Nigeria to Mr. Rasaq Kotun and Ms. Adebisi Enilolobo. She was not only the first grandchild in both parents' families, but also the first great-grandchild on her maternal side — deeply loved, cherished, and pampered from the very beginning. Her name, Atinuke, meaning "we have enough to pamper," reflected just how treasured she was. From childhood, she was joyful, intelligent, and full of life.
She attended St. Joseph Primary School in Elegbata, Lagos, and Government College in Ikorodu, Lagos, graduating in 1996. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Lagos State University in 2005.
A versatile and industrious woman, Atinuke had a deep passion for business and fashion. She ran a successful enterprise specializing in men's and women's clothing and was known for her hard work, impeccable sense of style, and warm, generous heart. She later built a career in healthcare, serving as a Sterilization Technician at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas.
Atinuke was a devoted member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Nigeria. She was gentle, kind, responsible, and a source of joy to all who knew her.
On Friday, July 17, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with cancer, God called her home to glory.
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints." — Psalm 116:15
She is survived by her beloved adopted son, Abdullahi Nifemi; her parents, Mr. Rasaq Kotun and Mr. and Mrs. Abayomi and Adebisi George; and her siblings T.J., Abby, Kolade, Dalton, Junior, Olayemi, and Olagoke.
We thank God for the gift of her life and are grateful for all who have stood with us in prayer and love.
