Cecelia Gajewski Krolczyk

Cecelia Gajewski Krolczyk, of Richmond, Texas, passed away after losing her battle against getting older, at the age of (96), on Friday, June 6, 2025. 

Cecilia was born at the family farmhouse in Fairchilds, Texas, on November 20, 1928, to Mike Gajewski and Annie Dudek Gajewski. 

Cecelia was the 8th of what would ultimately be (10) children in the Gajewski family. Mike was a widow with (4) children when he met Annie, with that union adding six; (2) boys and (4) girls. 

Cecelia attended Needville schools, and at (15), was voted Most Beautiful. To put it mildly, she was full of life and loved to dance. It was at a dance at the old Fairchilds Hall that she met a young sailor on leave by the name of Henry Krolczyk. Love blossomed and they soon married, living in Corpus Christi where Henry was stationed. During this same period their son, Larry, was born. 

When Henry was Honorably Discharged, they moved back to the Houston area. Henry soon began his march toward a successful home building career while Cecelia (CeCe to her close friends and family) was content to work on raising her son and becoming, by some accounts, one of the best cooks in Southwest Houston and later in the Sugar Land area!

Cecelia is survived by her daughter-in-law, Betty Lou Krolczyk Michalek; her sister Helen Reynolds; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Cecilia was preceded in death by her spouse, Henry Chester Krolczyk; her son, Larry Krolczyk; her brothers Daniel Gajewski and Bernard Gajewski; and her sisters Lillie Sembera and Alice Gerkin. 

Services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Richmond, Texas. 
Visitation at the church from 10-11 am, 6/13/25, and the Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am. 
Officiated by Rev Father Toan Lai, C. Ss. R. 

Burial will follow immediately at Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery, Rosenberg, Texas

The family would like to extend a special mention and thanks to her last caretakers at Agape, a small residential care home in Richmond, Texas. Their staff-Aida, Brian, Clara and Christine made her feel loved at all times.
