With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Damon Timothy Whittie, who left us on July 17th, 2024, at the age of 51. Damon was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. His kindness, generosity, and business sense touched the lives of everyone he met.
Damon was born to Jim and Patricia Whittie on August 15th, 1972. He grew up in Beaumont, Texas, and graduated from West Brook Sr High, where he developed a love for computers. He received his associate's degree in information technology from Dallas Community College.
Damon was known for his infectious smile and ability to make everyone feel welcome and valued. He was a pillar of strength and compassion for his family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. All who had the privilege of knowing him will deeply miss his presence.
His loving mother, Patricia Whittie, survives Damon; his grandmother, Sadie Smith; his devoted sisters, Jennifer Whittie-Wells (Clarence) and Serena Daniels (Toya); and his brothers, Jason Whittie, Anwar Whittie (Candace), Lawrence Kenebrew (Tasha), and Deron Whittie. His nephews Christion, Jayson, Caleb, and Braelian. His nieces Alandria, Ciera, Cate, and a host of aunts, cousins, and dear friends.
A funeral service to celebrate Damon's life, a life well-lived and full of love, will be held on Friday, July 26th, 2024, at Beresford Funeral Service from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
Following the service, he will be buried at Houston Memorial Gardens at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, we deeply appreciate your continued support and ask that you keep the family in your prayers and remember Damon fondly. Your support means the world to us.
Rest in peace, Damon. Your spirit, love, and legacy will live on in our hearts forever.
