
Diane Maxwell Hollins, at the age of 70, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025 . Diane was born on July 17, 1954, in Millen, Georgia. She was the beloved daughter of Milah Odom and Ray Lane. She grew up surrounded by her family. She was the third of six children and also the oldest girl. During her childhood, her family relocated to Philadelphia, where she met lifelong friends and created many memories.
Diane graduated from Bartram High School in 1972. Afterward, she attended various training programs and received multiple certifications while pursuing her goals. She worked her whole life until a year before she passed away, having started her first job at the age of 16. In 1992, Diane moved to Houston, Texas with her children. She dedicated 25 years of her life working at a shelter
Although Diane had a smile that could light up the whole town, she was known for telling you exactly how she felt. She was also known as Dicey. Diane was a remarkable individual who led a fulfilling life. She was full of love and lit up any room she walked into. She enjoyed dancing, singing, and spending time with her family. Diane was a loving mother who cherished every moment with her children and never missed an opportunity to show or tell them how much she loved them.
Diane Maxwell Hollins departed this life on April 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Milah and Ray Lane, her brothers, Alexander and Jerry Lane, and her grandson, Kelvin Fallen. She is survived by her Uncle Charlie Lane, her brothers, Frankie and Bernard Lane, her sister, Karen Cox, her in-laws Tonya Lane and Bernard Cox, her sons, Tony and Tyree Lane, her daughters Taiaisha and Tanea Lane, her grandchildren Rolshawun Lane, Tiajuana and Talia Scott, Taylor Lane, Rylan Lane, her great-grand daughter, Sarai Lane, and many cousins, neices, and nephews.
Diane leaves behind a legacy of cherished moments and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, with the Visitation starting at 10am and the Funeral Service 11am at Church at the Cross.

for abused women. Afterward, she worked as a correctional officer. She was a four-time cancer survivor, and that never seemed to keep her down.
