Iurii Kalmin

Iurii Kalmin, 81, passed away on April 6, 2025 in Richmond, Texas.  He was born in the Soviet Union on July 1, 1943 to Ivan and Nadezhda Kalmin.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Svitlana Kalmina; his 3 children, Elena Kolcheva & husband Alexander Lazorenko, Stanislav "Stanley" Kalmin, and Tetiana "Tania" Kalmina & husband Joseph El Hajj Assaf; grandchildren, Alina Kalmina, Alexandra El Hajj Assaf, and Angelina El Hajj Assaf; his sister, Nina Khohlova; and sister-in-law, Nelli Kalmina.

He is preceded by brother, Boris Kalmin; brother-in-law, Victor Khohlov, and his parents.

Services will be at Our Lady of the Cedars Maronite Catholic Church (11935 Bellfort Village Dr. Houston, TX 77031) on Thursday, April 10, 2025.  Viewing will begin at 10am.  The Rosary will start at 10:30am, and mass will begin at 11am.  Burial will follow at Brookshire Memorial Oaks Cemetery (1699 Sturm Ln, Brookshire, TX 77423).
