Judith Laing Caraway, 72, battled pancreatic cancer for two years. On July 22, 2007, her Lord and Savior peacefully led her home to be with Him. She was born on February 28, 1935 to Walter and Eugenie Laing. The first of four children, Judy grew up with three sisters, Janet Reese, the late Joanne Lemoine, and Jeanine Thorp. Because it was her calling to help and care for others, Judy spent more than 50 years as a registered nurse and over time donated 10 gallons of blood for those who would need it.
She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia Cook and Pamela Caraway. She was the loving grandmother to Lynsie Shay Thompson, Matthew Wayne Cook, Devon Ross Thompson, Sierra Nicole Ludwig, and the late Jonathan Andrew Cook. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many “great” nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held July 28, 2007 at Heritage Park Baptist Church, 2732 FM 528, Webster, Texas with visitation beginning at 11:00 am and services beginning at 1:00 pm.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be directed to the Heritage Park Baptist Church Building Fund.
