Kevin Edward Wilson
September 2nd, 1963 - September 21st, 2023.
Kevin Edward Wilson, a proud husband and father, passed to heaven on September 21st, 2023 at the age of 60.
Kevin was born September 2nd, 1963 in Morristown, New Jersey to James Gardner Wilson Jr., and Marjorie Jane Wilson. He moved to Cypress, Texas at a young age where graduated as a CY-Fair Bobcat and later attended University of Houston. Soon after graduating, he was a proud member of the City of Katy Fire Department for 15 years, where he became District Fire Chief. Kevin also served as a freemason and was very proud to hold that name. He loved serving his community as chief and decided that he wanted to take it a step further by getting his real estate license. He quickly found his passion as a general contractor and started his own construction company, Big City Builders, where he would go on to help build and grow the city of Katy. After years of building dream homes for community members, Kevin decided to push into commercial building, where he proudly helped other business owners start their own successful businesses. While he was helping the city grow, he continued to watch his own family grow which he loved more than anything in the world.
Kevin is survived by his wife Claudia Nayeli Wilson; children Scott Davis, Jacquelyn Schroyer, David Thelen, Zachary Wilson, Kelsey Wilson, and Kobe Wilson; grandchildren Kasin, Brytln, Skyln, Wyttn, Wattson, Sutton, Lawson, Avery, Brody, Conner and Hayley; siblings Gary Wilson Sr. and Donna Lee.
He is preceded in death by his parents James and Marjorie Wilson along with his daughter Nikki Thelen.
Kevin was known by many people to be a kind, generous soul, that always went out of his way to make you smile. He loved people and was always the life of the party. Kevin enjoyed gathering around the table for a meal with his friends and loved ones, especially if he cooked the meal. He was well known for dedicating his life to others, but nothing made him more proud than his children and family. The name “Dad” was the best name he had ever received, and he wore it with honor. The only name that held a candle was “Pa”, which is what his grandchildren loved to call him. Spending time with his children and grandchildren was the reason he worked so hard. He was always up for a spontaneous vacation, day out at the park, waterpark, or anywhere he could see his family smile. Kevin was a role model, mentor, and friend to many and his smile, laugh, and his infectious personality will be so greatly missed by anyone who had the honor of knowing him.
MAY HE FOREVER REST IN PEACE
