In Memory of
Lois Rita Crochet Granier
-

Beloved, Lois Rita Crochet Granier, passed away peacefully in her sleep and entered into heaven on November 3, 2025.  She was born on December 24, 1935 to Lelia Marie Guillotte Crochet and Clay Joseph Crochet, a wonderful "Christmas Gift" from The Lord, a daughter, after 4 boys!  Eight years later The Lord gave their family, Barbara Ann, the little sister Lois inevitably hoped for and truly adored!

We know for a fact that Lois grew up around Franklin, LA with this hard-working, yet contented, happy family because for the last 5 years of her life, given the opportunity, she would tell anyone that music and dancing were their favorite past-time. The brothers would play their varied instruments and sing and the sisters would accompany them in rhythm and harmony. This was the memory that stayed with Lois the longest!  She would always respond to the question 'how are you doing?' with, "I wanna go dancing!  You know, all of my family were musically inclined!  We were a happy family!"

Lois met Leonard Emmett Granier Jr. from Berwick, LA. They married in 1952 devotedly until Leonard's death in 1999 (47 years).  She is survived by their 4 children, Sheila Marie Granier, Jodie Elizabeth Granier Tjon and husband Douglas Tjon, Leonard Emmett Granier III, and Rhett David Granier; 12 Grandchildren and 14 Great Grandchildren so far.

The funeral will be held at the Willow Grove Cemetery in Berwick, LA on November 14th, 2025 at 11:00 AM. This will be followed by a small group of close family and friends for a "Memorial Gathering" in honor of Lois at The Atchafalaya Restaurant in Patterson, LA. We thank everyone for their condolences and prayers.
