Michael Babatunde Adu

Michael Babatunde Adu (Adu Fadaka as he fondly referred to himself) passed away at the age of 56. He was born in Ijebu-Jesa, Oriade Local Government of Osun state, Nigeria on February 17th, 1967 to the family of Elder David Adedayo Adu and Deaconess Bernice Olakunle Adu

He was the oldest of his siblings, he played a good leadership role especially after the demise of the parents. he was a disciplinarian, wise, hilarious and fun to be with and never looked down not even the younger ones

Michael Adu graduated from The Polytechnic Ibadan, Oyo State after which he proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University Ago Iwoye Ogun State in Nigeria. He worked at the Federal Government Girls College Bida before he started a banking career with Afribank PLC which was subsequently bought over by the then Skye bank now known as Polaris Bank. He worked in the banks in various capacities for over two decades, he however exited the bank in June 2016 as a Business Development Manager having been on that job function for a decade. He was a member of various professional bodies both in Nigeria and USA in his life time

He got Married to Christianah Olubunmi in December of 1997 and the Union was blessed with children. He was a loving husband, a role model and responsible daddy to his children. 

He was loved by all and sundry for his respectful and responsible behaviour, a selfless fellow and a lover of progress for all. He was trust-worthy and a kind-hearted person.  A mentor not only to his family but even friends and acquaintances.

He was full of plans and ambitions until his brief illness and consequently his untimely death.

Private services were held on Thursday, April 27th, 2023, in the chapel of Beresford Funeral Service.
