Wanda Leigh June peacefully went to her heavenly home on February 27, 2026. She was born on November 20, 1936, in San Angelo, Texas to Beatrice and Joe Lee Jenkins, and grew up in San Antonio, Texas.
Wanda married Richard Norton June on August 31, 1957, and they were married for 68 years.
Wanda was a good and faithful servant to our Lord. She loved the church and her friends. She shared the Gospel freely and was a light to every life that she touched.
Wanda was a longtime member of Ascension Episcopal Church and a dedicated member of the Altar Guild. She was a founding member of the Tuesday Ladies Bible Study group and served as its leader for many years.
Wanda is survived by her husband, Richard; daughter, Shara Preston and husband, William; daughter Susan Jaggers and husband, Stephen; daughter, Sandra Saulnier and husband, Marc; and son Steven June.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Rachael Jones and husband, David; Grace Preston and husband, Alex Still; Kimberlyn Jaggers; Emily Preston; Grayson Saulnier and wife, Emma; Samantha Marucci and husband, Jacob; Will Preston; Ethan Jaggers and wife, Abby; Cameron Saulnier; Katherine June; Evan June; and 4 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, J. L. Jenkins.
A private burial service will be held at Carmen Nelson Bostick cemetery in Tomball. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Ascension Episcopal Church, 2525 Seagler Rd, Houston, Texas on March 21 at 11 AM.
Should you desire to send a memorial gift, flowers may be sent to the church for the memorial service, or alternately, a memorial gift may be made to the Ascension Episcopal Church Altar Guild.
