Billy found and created joy and humor in every daily life and shared his love and care with everyone he knew. He attended Midland Lee High School, in Midland, Texas, and attended Texas Tech University, where he was a member of the Swim Team. Billy spent years volunteering as a Boy Scout Master as well as with an organization that helped special-needs teenagers. He was a proud member of The Sons of the Republic of Texas. Throughout his career, Billy remained passionate about his life’s work as a Mechanical Engineer, with patents all over the world. As co-owner of a company for more than thirty years, Billy embraced his role, not only as General Manager, but also as Mentor to and Leader of the many employees, always focusing on inspiring each one to realize their highest imagined goals. With their son Gard, Billy co-founded their company, Mosaic Services, and he thoroughly enjoyed working alongside him. Billy was actively dedicated to family, friends, and co-workers, always brightening everyone’s life with his inherent kindness and sense of fun, and, above all, always searching for ways to help others.

Bill Thrasher was a great man. He was brave, kind and friendly. He was highly intelligent yet humble. He would help anyone that needed help. He loved my sister as Jesus loves the church. He did not fear, he just kept going. He is missed so much. We did not speak in person much, mainly text messages. However, when we did talk in person, the conversation picked up where we left off. He could do anything you asked him to do. Most of all, he loved well. Love, Craig
