Carolyn Ann Bell

Carolyn Ann Bell, 61, passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 after a long battle with diabetes and other health issues.

She was born in Houston, Texas November 21, 1949. She married Richard Oscar Bell in 1969. At the time of her passing, Carolyn and Richard resided in Somerville, Texas.

Carolyn spent most of her life as a home maker, but also worked in public school classrooms helping with Special Education students and always had a want to help the less fortunate. Her primary love in life was her family and friends, of which she had many. Carolyn loved to cook and entertain, she liked nothing more than sharing food and gifts with her loved ones on holidays and special occasions.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Ross and Lola Bane of Houston, Texas. She was survived by her husband Richard Oscar Bell, her two children Richard Ross Bell and Kimberly Bell Glancy, both of Houston, Texas, and her five grandchildren Elizabeth Glancy, Ryan Bell, Devon Bell, Christian Bell, and Lilly Glancy.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association in her honor at their website at main.diabetes.org/goto/carolynbell.

A visitation will be held at Beresford Funeral Home Thursday, August 18, 2011 from 10:00am to 12:00pm followed by a graveside ceremony to be held at the Houston National Cemetery at 1:30pm.
