In Memory of
Charles Hobert Lolley Jr
-

Charles Hobert Lolley, Jr., son of Charles Hobert Lolley and Ora Lee Lolley, unexpectedly went home to be with his savior on September 28, 2016 while doing what he loved to do – riding his Harley on a trip to New Mexico. He was born in Tallahassee, FL on Dec. 25, 1943.

He married his high school sweetheart, Anita Gail Herring, and they moved to Houston in 1964. Charlie was one of the hardest workers you would ever meet. Whether it was working two jobs to provide for his family or helping others, he was always someone you could count on. He had a quiet strength about him that everyone sensed. He loved being “Papa” to his only granddaughter, baby-sitting her and making his family laugh. He blessed all who were around him and was a devoted husband, father and friend. He will be missed by all. His family takes comfort in knowing that he is with Gail in heaven and watching over us.

He is survived by his son, Chris; daughter-in-law, Diane; granddaughter, Lauren; brother, Hobert Lolley of Clarksville, TN; sister, Evelyn Vickers of Cypress, TX; sister, Marjorie Sheffield of Tallahassee, FL; brother, Tim Lolley of Tallahassee, FL; and sister, Glenda Wesson of Apalachicola, FL.

A memorial service will be held at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 1656 Blalock Road, Houston, TX 77080 on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church.
