He is survived by his daughter, Linda Olewine & husband Robert Olewine; his son, Robert E. Davenport & wife Julia Isabel Davenport; Brothers, Leonard Davenport, Grady Davenport, James Davenport; and sisters, Doris East, Faye Porter.
He is preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Peggy Davenport (d. 5/22/2015); brothers, William “Bud” Davenport, and Leon Davenport; and his parents.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service, starting with visitation and viewing from 10 am to 12 noon. The funeral will begin at 12 noon, and the burial will be at 2:00 PM at the Houston National Cemetery.
