Douglas Wayne French, 59, crossed over to his Heavenly Home to be with the Jesus he loved so dearly September 14, 2018.  Doug was born on March 28, 1959 in Fort Fairfield, Maine to Carl Weston French, Jr. and Ruby Mae Cyr French.  Doug attended Jersey Village High School.  He married Julia Diane West and served in the U.S. Army from June 1977 – June 1980. 

Doug is preceded in death by his wife, Julia Diane French, son, Douglas Wayne French, Jr., brother, Carl Weston (Wes) French, mother, Ruby Mae Cyr French, father, Carl Weston French, Jr., grandmother, Louise French, grandfather, Carl Weston French, Sr. 

Doug is survived by his aunt, Norma Spencer, uncle Wayne Spencer, uncle Wayne French, aunt Beverly French, cousins Randy Spencer, Donna Spencer, Pam Spencer Tanner, Lori Spencer Wells, Chad Spencer, Chase Spencer, Rob French, sister-in-law Mary Roberts, many other cousins, and his very special beloved nephew whom he called "Little One", Weston Spencer. 

A chapel service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery.  If you plan on attending, please arrive to the cemetery at 10:45am and line up in Lane 1.

It's been a number of years since I saw Doug in person, but had a recent phone call from him as he was inquiring about where to go to visit an ill friend. Doug was so thoughtful and caring to others and was such a blessing and a good friend to others in our old Cornerstone bible study group many years ago. He was so sold out for Jesus, which magnified even more in recent years I'm told. The next time I see Doug in person, it will be in worship of God at the very feet of Jesus.
