ERLING ROLF KROSBY, age 84, of Houston, Texas, passed away Monday, February 8, 2010. He was born June 10, 1925, in Mysen, Norway, to Iver and Johanna Krosby. Erling earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law, a Master of Comparative Law from the University of Miami, a Candidatus Juris from the University of Oslo and a Master of Business Administration from U.C.L.A. Erling moved his family to Houston in 1981 to begin his private practice. He is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Lillemor Krosby; daughter, Anita Cutrer of North Richland Hills, TX; son, Tor Krosby and his wife Staci of Houston, TX; son, Bjorn Krosby and his wife Stewart of Houston, TX; son, Leif Krosby of Taos, NM; grandchildren, Mary Alex, Jens, Taylor, Lars, Brooke and Reese Krosby, Erik and Ryan Cutrer; brother Olaf Krosby and many other loving relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 19, 2010 at the Norwegian Seaman’s Church, 4309 Young Street, Pasadena, TX 77504. For those desiring, memorials in Erling’s name may be made to the Norwegian Seaman’s Church of Pasadena, TX.

Erling, You were an inspirational person to meet in this lifetime. I will always remember you as a kind and gentle grandfather to Jens, and a sweet, kind, and funny person.
