Esther Louise Lampp, age 88 went to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, March 3, 2011 at her home in Houston, Texas. Born April 30, 1922 of Paul and Louise Zoch-Medack in Serbin, Texas, she was the second of eight siblings. She married William Jackson Lampp, Sr. and after living in several states around the country with their children, finally settled in Houston, Texas. It was of her love of family that called her to not only the raising her five children, but to care for two generations of children over a span of 45 years in the nursery of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she worked and was a long time church member. After her retirement from Trinity she loved and appreciated the support, friendship and
when her health began to fail, the home visits of Pastors, members of Trinity and dear friends. Her husband William Jackson Lampp, Sr., her two brothers Ludwig and Paul Medack, and her sister Hattie Mitschke predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter Judith Pike of Giddings, Tx., sons Jackson, James, Jerry and wife Lindsey, all of Houston, Tx., and Robert and wife Marla of Mandeville, La. She was blessed with eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and special friends. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Elsie Powell of California, Louise and Fred Moeller of Houston, Tx., Alice Aalund of Giddings, Tx., Helen and William Wenthe of Georgetown, Tx., and Viola Sherk of Giddings, Tx.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. You heard me say, “I am going away and I am coming back to you.” If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is Greater than I. - John 14: 27-28
