Esther Ruth Tinker Baker
Esther Ruth (Brown) McCleary Tinker Baker, 97, born September 22, 1916 in Matagorda County, TX to Sanford Hutcheson Brown and Blanche Lavina (Armstrong) Brown, died March 12, 2014 in Corsicana, TX.
Esther is survived by her six grandchildren, David Adams III and wife Linda, Michael Adams and wife Flo, Jean Tomei and husband James, Mark Mattern and wife Lisa, Lisa May and husband Robert, and Carrie McCleary and husband Michael; eight great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Adams, Annika Adams, Lauren Watts, Nathan Tomei, Robert
May, Jessica May, Logan Mikulas, and Fairyn Mikulas; five great-great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Esther is preceded in death by her parents, Sanford and Blanche Lavina Brown; children, Charles McCleary and Martha Adams; eight siblings; and three husbands, Bill McCleary, Sydney Tinker, and Lonnie Baker.
Esther will be remembered by her family for her enduring love, warm smile, courageous spirit, and strong will. She was a beacon of bright light. She enjoyed being around her family, especially the children. Her hobbies included sewing and quilting, making dolls, tending to her rose bushes, and her most favored, seeing after her farm and cattle.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:30 on Saturday, March 15, 2014 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service, 13501 Alief Clodine Road, Hoston, TX 77082 (281-933-9090). A graveside service will follow at 3:30 at Memorial Oaks Cemetery, 13001 Katy Freeway, Houston. The family will have a gathering immediately after the services at their home.

There is such a hole in my heart.
I can't imagine what a life without mammaw will be like.
I will cherish all the memories of the time we have spent together through the years. It was an honor holding your hand on your journey to see daddy, Aunt Martha, and all your family that you so dearly missed.
Thank you so much for the strong values and wisdom you taught me.
You have been a role model and a prime example of what it means to be a strong, composed, and beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother.

Though I have no personal ties to the deceased or to the family, I would still like to leave a comforting message...It is a great tragedy to lose a cherished loved one. However please know that you will have the opportunity to see your loved one again (John 5:28,29). God will call and your loved one will answer.
