Sid was my best friend in high school and the Best Man at my wedding.... I will miss you!
James Sidney “Sid” Crowley passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 69. Sid was born in Houston on January 31, 1950 to James and Sarah Crowley. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Crowley. He is survived by his sister Carol Crowley, nephews Austin, Clay and Patrick Crowley, and cousin Diana CrowleyLeeson.
Sid graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1968 and from the University of Houston with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1978. He spent his professional career as a prosecutor with Harris and Fort Bend counties and then as a criminal defense attorney.
A funeral mass will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Divine Mercy at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 3100 Sweetwater Blvd. Sugar Land, TX 77479. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in Sid’s memory to the animal rescue HOPE, an organization he supported and through which he found his beloved cat Alvin.
