Louis Reynold Julien, 77, passed away in Stafford, Texas on March 1, 2017. He was born in Jeremie, Haiti on January 9, 1940 to the late Clarice Saintelus and Amercieux Julien. He was the 5th of eleven siblings.
He went to Catholic school, after summer school, he went to Seminar of the Father Sacred Heart. He continued his education in Port-au-Prince. He received a scholarship to Canada to continue his priesthood education. After three years he moved back to Haiti for health reasons. He then went to the University of Ethnology where he received a Master's degree. He taught at the Spiritan College in Haiti while also serving as Choir Director. In 1990, he went to work in Romania for the U.S. Government. He was a loving and responsible father.
He left behind three daughters, Elizabeth Julien, Kimberly Kirby, and Melissa Julien; four grandchildren, Alissa, Ryan, Odette and Elianne; and a host of brothers and sisters whom he loved and cared for very much.
In August 1992, Louis married Maud Michel in Houston, and together they took care of several foster children. He was a good husband and educator, and was a family oriented man. He taught the children many things to help change their lives for the better. He was a very good and giving man, and will be dearly missed.
Services will begin Friday evening, March 10, 2017 in the Chapel of Beresford Funeral Service with a visitation from 5 to 8 pm, and Rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass will be at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church (13350 Ashford Point Dr, Houston, TX 77082) the following morning, Saturday, March 11 at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens in Pearland.
