To the Family of Matthew Allen: I knew Matthew's paternal grandparents, and they were fine folks. I grew up in Sunday School with his dad who, as a man, spoke to me with admiration about his children. I know the family is grieved and full of questions. During this time, may they draw strength from one another and from the friends around them.

To all the family: We are so sorry about Matt. We loved him very much & are remembering the good times we enjoyed when he visited us in LR. He loved skateboarding when he visited us & was quite a pro. He was always so polite & sweet to us. We were remembering introducing him to turnips & greens---he was very leery but actually liked them! Our hearts are with all of you during this difficult time. We love all of you a pray that you will find comfort in the God's love & the love of your family & friends. Aunt Sue & Uncle Archie

Although I hadn't seen Matthew for many years and didn't know him as an adult, I'm so sad today for his loss. He was one of the very few people brave enough to visit us in Alaska in December (along with Suzanne) and I remember him as a neat little kid who enjoyed sledding and snowball fighting in Fairbanks at below 0 temperatures. I'm feeling especially sorry for all of you who were close to him. I'm thinking of all of you.

Margie and Jerry.....I just found out today about the loss of Matt (March 19th). I wish I could have been at the service to give you my love. I have very deep and fond memories of Matt and Christina playing in the cul-de-sac (remember those parties?, of our times together when the kids were young. Matt was a gifted, spirited young man whose sense of adventure and intellect were obvious. I am deeply sorry for your loss. Please send my love to Paul as well. Let your friends and loved ones get you through this hard time, and know that many many people saw Matt's special nature. Take care...Judy

Dear Margie, Jerry, Carol, Stephanie and all others I am leaving out that were an important part of Matt's life,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Matt. Although I have not seen Matt in a few years, I have so many great memories... culdesac parties, bringing out Jerry's sled at the first sight of snow and trying to sled down a 2 ft. hill of snow/dirt we managed to scrape up, bringing out the floats and canoe any time it rained to take advantage of the drainage problem in our culdesac, culdesac hide and seek where we managed to crawl into every neighbors backyard, etc.

I will always treasure my childhood memories of roaming the streets of Kenswick with little mischievous Matt. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.
