Murray Leon Hendrix

Murray Leon Hendrix passed away 12-16 -2014 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Leon was Born August 22, 1934 in Houston, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his father, Murray Hendrix and his mother Thelma Hendrix, his brother Randy Hendrix, and his brother-in-law Victor Hester.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 62 years, June Collins Hendrix along with his sister Lynn Hester. He is also survived by his four children and spouses, Danny and BJ Hendrix, Richard and Renee Hendrix, Johnny and Jody Hendrix and Pam and Andrew Wolan. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Leon showed us all how to be a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

A celebration of his life will be held at Second Baptist Church, West Campus in the Williams House, at 1:00 on Friday December 19.

I would like to extend my heartfelt condolences to the family for the loss of your loved one. May God almighty father of tender mercies and all comfort continue to comfort you all (2 Corinthians 1: 3, 4). Please know that God has promised to completely remove death, tears, mourning, outcry and pain (Revelation 21:4). Indeed we all eagerly anticipate the fulfillment of these promise. The Bible also provides assurance of a real hope of reuniting with our dead loved ones in the coming new world (John 5: 28, 29).
