Patsy Jean (Chappelear) Peairson went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2012. After a lengthy and valiant battle with Alzheimer's disease, Pat was met in heaven by Elmer, her beloved husband of 45 years, as well as her parents Bill and Marie Chappelear and brother Jerry Chappelear. She is survived by her children Mike Peairson, Steve Peairson, Melanie Peairson, Mitch Peairson and Stewart Peairson; daughters-in-law Donna Peairson and Elizabeth Peairson, her 12 grandchildren, Adam, Stephanie, Stephen Jr., Jessica, Keisha, Shane, Shawn, Melissa, Jean-Patrice, Liv Monique, Matthew and Anne; numerous great-grandchildren; her brother Rick Chappelear and her sister Norma Huggs; and many nieces and nephews. She loved them all. Pat was born in Cloud Chief, Oklahoma, and although she grew up on a farm, she was always a city girl at heart. She worked for many years as the secretary to the General Manager of Channel 13, and had many fond memories of her time at the station. A life-long Christian, Pat was a faithful and involved member of Richey Street Baptist Church, teaching Sunday school there for over 40 years, and stepping away from that area of service only when forced to by the advance of Alzheimer's.
Pat's life will be celebrated on Sunday, October 14th at 3:00 pm at Grace Fellowship United Methodist Church in Katy. In lieu of flowers, the family is encouraging donations to the at alz.org.
